So what is everyones bait of choice?
Having not long left a bait company that ive used for 6years ive gone on to CC Moore. Not one to swap and change but just wanted a changed to see if i could change my luck as its not been great but then again i do fish tricky waters.
Pacific tuna and live system for me
Bait choice for me is baitworks, been using them now for around 10 years now,
A great believer in the Monster Red and the Cre-amino, but to be fair the whole range is cracking bait.
After posting this at the back end of last year I've actually decided to make a change to my bait for the 2023 campaign.
Since I've taken up a ticket on a local syndicate that I used to fish as a club water, it's actually one water that I've just never had the results on using my old faithful. As I've little confidence in it producing for me on there I've switched to 'the herb' from Handcraft, containing fenugreek, garlic, robin red, liver and hydrolysed fish proteins, it's a dark old school HNV type food bait that I'm hoping will be the key to unlock both of my syndicates this year 🤔
I do also like a dark bait on waters with a lot of bird life, helps me feel more confident of being picked up less by the coots and tufties, they yellow of Keys Twisted Peach is like a beacon to the feathered boilie thieves.
I've been using Key Bait Solutions for around 6 years now, I have dabbled with another company that a good friend used but kept coming back to Key and a lot of that is down to my confidence in their bait.
My take anywhere bait from their range is the Twisted Peach and it's served me well on a lot of venues, some where I've been told only fish meal / krill based baits will work. I do also have a lot of faith in the ASM but if like me you have to keep your bait in the house ASM is most definately NOT wife friendly!
I do think baits a very personal thing, as long as you are using a good quality bait that you have confidence in I feel that catching them is more about location and timing than what bait you are actually using at the time. Granted some baits are naturally more attractive to the carp but if they are hungry and feeding and you have confidence in YOUR bait, you can catch them.
Well as you probably know mate, I use Baitworks. I think any bait development Simon Scott has been involved in has to be up there. My catch rate and confidence increased tenfold when I switched over. Had most of my fish on the pineaphell pop ups and the white scent from hells. They also have a great range of powders, pellets and liquids to. 👍😁🎣
