Crimps are the perfect solution for making strong and reliable rigs. Made from brass with a dull black coating, they are suitable for mono, fluorocarbon and some coated braids. Available in two sizes - 0.6mm and 0.7mm - these crimps are ideal for making stiff rigs, chod rigs and hinge stiff rigs but can be used on many other types of rig.
 
Using crimps makes rigs stronger, as there are fewer knots and rig making with crimps is much quicker and less fiddly than tying knots. It is also much easier to be accurate when making short hinges or chods.
 
We recommend using the 0.6mm crimps with our 20lb and 25lb fluorocarbon hooklinks and 0.7mm crimps with our 35lb Fluorocarbon stiff boom.
